Well here we are folks, Superbowl eve. After two looooooong weeks the game is finally upon us and I couldn't be happier. I've been enduring the taunting of Giants fans and suffering with a smile daily as they smugly declare how easy it will be for Big Blue to be victorious in tomorrow's game. All I know is karma is a bitch and I always enjoy when the other team tosses gasoline on Tom Brady's fire. No matter what happens tomorrow we should be in for a heck of a game.

| Me and Ryan(GO PATS!!) |
Today I hit the gym for my training session with my buddy Ryan. After seeing him in Giants jerseys for the past 2 weeks I had to counter with the Gronk jersey today. Lunges tested better than anything so we started there. I was able to do 4 sets and it is getting easier and easier to get closer to the ground with these. Next up was modified pull ups on one of the bars. I was able to put in 3 big sets here as well. We then moved on to some new ab exercises on the floor. I had to lay down and hold up my legs with my knees at a 90 degree angle. I then had to straighten out my legs, lift them over my head, then use my abs to pull my butt up off the ground slightly. All I know is that these things were BRUTAL. I'm sure I'm going to be feeling that one tomorrow. Finally we finished with deadlift. We lowered the weight to 45lbs on each side but we had the bar resting on the ground instead of sitting in the ankle high rack that I had previously been using. This makes the exercise a lot more intense and I could definitely feel a major difference. I was completely out of breath at the end of each set but it felt really, really good. Once we did 3 sets though I was pretty much spent so I stretched out again then zipped on out of there.

The track you are listening to was created by the immensely talented
Poolside. I don't remember how I first stumbled across this soundcloud page(friend recommendation I think?) but I am so glad that I did. From the wonderful tracks they have created to their beautifully creative mixes these guys have such a superbly selective ear. I really hope to have the opportunity to catch them live in the near future. At the gym today I was listening to their newest mix, Night People. I usually don't have music going during a session with my trainer but today were in a room, at least for a little while, that gave us the opportunity to do so. This isn't super high energy stuff but it will keep you moving and has a great driving back beat through out. The tempo does seem to increase steadily throughout the mix which I really enjoy for working out as the more mellow stuff will be during my stretching and warm-ups. Check this out during your next workout or throw it on when you first wake up tomorrow morning. It works really well in either situation. Enjoy!!
Let's Go PATS!!!!!
