Day 3...

...and I'm sore and tired.  I could barely sleep last night, like a little kid on Christmas Eve, in anticipation of the release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.  The Nexus is the latest in the line of flagship devices from Google and launches their new opperating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  Before you ask, Yes, I am a giant nerd and stuff like this gets me really excited.  I thoroughly enjoy using every technological advantage to my disposal in daily life.  From streaming music to checking my heart rate this thing is going to be my best friend at the gym and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.  If you are on Verizon and in the market for a new phone I HIGHLY recommend this one.

The phone came in quite handy during my training session with Ryan today.  The heart rate app seems to work better on this phone, I think due to the placement of the flash.  I started out with some stretching but didn't have time to hit the elliptical before the scheduled start of my session.  First on tap today was another visit to the Captain's Chair.  I was able to push through 4 sets on there and was feeling the energy.  Next I did some deadlifting with free weights.  I was able to add 20lbs to the bar bringing the grand total up to 115lbs.  I did another 4 sets here and was able to do more overall reps in about 3 minutes less time so i am definitely seeing some major progress there.  Next I laid down on one of the benches and did some pullovers with a 30lb dumbell.  I haven't done this exercise before so I am expecting to be pretty sore tomorrow.  I finally finished up with as many lunges as I could handle before I felt like I was going to collapse.  All in all it was a great day.  There wasn't much time for music as we were moving around the gym at a pretty solid clip but I always manage to squeeze something in.

Today's mix comes to us from Gildas Kitsune, who runs the record label Kitsune Maison based out of Paris.  This piece of music that he has put together really showcases the artists on his label, what they are all about, and why they are one of the hottest labels on the planet right now.  It is very high energy and will be great for your morning run tomorrow so give it a try!

Gildas Kitsuné Club Night Mix #2 by Kitsune Maison

Unfortunately this is only available for streaming so you need the Android or iOS app or you have to listen on a PC.  The new compilation is available on iTunes so help support the artists that give so much of themselves to this wonderful medium.

Keep your energy up and enjoy the tunes! I hope I have enough left for day 4 tomorrow...
